Hey Shringaristas,
Vellvette had organised a skincare workshop along with Elizabeth Arden yesterday in Mumbai. Now, I do know quite a bit about skincare but workshops like this are a very good way of getting to know more about the brand's new product launches.
I had wanted to take pictures of the event and had also taken my camera along but unfortunately, I hadn't checked the battery which died even before the event started :(
The workshop started off with a brief introduction on the origins of the brand and the brand value, "To be beautiful is the birthright of every woman". This was followed by a description of each of the skincare ranges within the Arden portfolio, Visible Difference, Ceramide and the range I'm really eager to try, Prevage. Finally, while some got skin consultations done, others checked out the Arden makeup range.
For all of us attending the workshop, there was a special 10% discount on all skincare and makeup products ordered there (the products will home delivered). I ordered a Ceramide lipstick in Watermelon, a gorgeous bright pink. Will show it to you once it arrives ;)
The biggest highlight of this event, for me, was meeting Vineeta, the co-founder of Vellvette. She is such a wonderful girl and it was a pleasure to talk to her about beauty, makeup, skincare, brands, Vellvette boxes etc. She is so friendly and so open to feedback too. More than anything else at the workshop, I enjoyed the chat I had with her most.
At the end of the event, we were each given a little gift; samples of Eight Hour Hand Cream and Red Door Aura by Elizabeth Arden and chocolates, a scented candle and an anklet by the Vellvette team. Such a sweet gesture, isn't it?
This is the first event of its kind organised by Vellvette and I must said that it was very nicely organised. I'm certainly looking forward to attending more such events.
Oh yes, and I'm eagerly awaiting my jan Vellvette box ;)

Great that you attended :)...wish these events took place in Kol too :(
ReplyDeletesame pinch. Even I wish the same
Delete@Dollie - the candle look yummy - not that its meant to be eaten LOL

ReplyDeleteAww :( would have been lovely to meet u.
DeleteHey Dollie, Its so good u went for the event.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't make it cos I had already confirmed my place for another event that was being held by Dermalogica and Divo that was being held on the same day. :( would have loved to come to this one too.
Oh, I didn't know about that one...did they launch the Cover tint and Sheer tint? How was it? Did you try out these two products Priyanka?
Deleteyes they launched the cover tint and sheer tint, but this event was more on the lines of skin care, so they showed us more of their Clean Start range. Since it was along with Divo we got to learn about hair care and hair styles too. it was really a fun event! and got goody bags too.
DeleteOooohh...sounds great. What's in the goody bag? Do a post na.
DeleteLovely event...I wish you cam hadn't ditched you at the last moment...wanted to c the pics :(
ReplyDeleteFinally we will b posted out of kharagpur next year and then I can hopefully attend such workshops :P
